Cabin Pricing Rules & Regulations
Renew family interests and old friendships while relaxing in one of our eleven year-round rental cabins. Many family groups and sports enthusiasts use the cabins while participating in or being a spectator at recreational activities at Stone Valley or sporting events at the Penn State University Park Campus.
General Information:
• 11 cabins
• located adjacent to public use areas
• central washhouse with flushing toilets, showers and potable water
• for University and non-University groups
• arrival time is 1:00 p.m.; departure time is 10:00 a.m.
• cabin utilities include electricity and wall mounted gas furnace
Cabin Furnishings:
• a refrigerator
• two-burner electric hot plate
• water jug
• clothes dresser
• bunk beds with mattresses
• table and chairs
• charcoal grill, picnic table, and bench reserved for each cabin
The renter must provide bed linens and cooking and eating utensils. Additional items visitors may wish to bring include: flashlights, lawn chairs, reading lamp, and charcoal.
Cabins are not to be used for parties or similar social activities. Stone Valley prohibits tent or trailer camping.
Cabin Reservations:
Cabin reservations will be accepted the first business day following January 1st of the current calendar year. Cabins are available year round. Advanced reservations are suggested to insure availability for specific dates. A $20.00 deposit (per cabin) must be paid within 10 days after the reservation is made. The deposit is not refundable, but may be transferred to another date the same calendar year (please see the exception to this under "During Penn State Football Weekends" below). DURING PENN STATE FOOTBALL WEEKENDS: There remains a $20 non-refundable deposit on all cabin rentals. Cabin rentals for Penn State football weekends must be rented for Friday and Saturday nights and need to be paid in full ten days after reservations are made. These reservations cannot be cancelled and deposits/fees cannot be refunded.
Cabin Across the Lake
An additional cabin across the lake is now available for rental. This cabin has been newly renovated with three single and one double bed, a kitchen area with refrigerator, oven, and microwave, and a deck that looks out on the lake. Outhouses are available on site for this cabin; however, shower facilities are located on the public use side of the lake.
