Administration of Justice at Penn State Abington
This program may be started at any campus and is completed only at Penn State Abington.
This major prepares students to work in today's increasingly complex justice system. The program focuses on several components: how our justice system developed and what its functions are; how the criminal justice system is organized and operates; basic research methods for investigative purposes; and the philosophical, historical, and legal underpinnings of criminal justice. Two degrees--a bachelor of science and bachelor of arts--are available. The bachelor of science includes internship experience and is designed to build research and policy analysis skills. The bachelor of arts degree provides a broad education that includes foreign language skills. Career opportunities include law enforcement and investigation, corrections, probation and parole, adjudication, community services and security, and advanced studies in criminology, sociology, and law.

This program may be started at any campus and is completed only at Penn State Fayette.
This major provides students with a broadly based liberal education focused on the understanding and analysis of justice systems. Having grappled with the many dilemmas and controversies presented by the problems of administering justice in a complex society, graduates have the background to be educated, thoughtful, and intelligent citizens.
