This major addresses principles and practices applicable to the management of plant agroecosystems. Students work with faculty from the agronomy, entomology, horticulture, and plant pathology departments and can choose between the Integrated Crop Management (ICM) and Plant Science options. The ICM option emphasizes principles of plant and soil management, while the Plant Science option requires additional emphasis in the basic sciences. Students in either option can specialize in agronomy, horticulture, entomology, or plant pathology. Graduates can find careers in marketing and sales, management and consulting, science and technology development, education and public service, and environmental fields.
