The undergraduate humanities programs at Penn State's Capital College focus on the study of the ideas, values, and artistic legacies of Western culture and civilization. While the major disciplines of art, communications, history, literature, music, and philosophy are represented, the emphasis is on interdisciplinary studies. Students have many opportunities for individualized study. The core curriculum provides a common intellectual experience for all humanities students and establishes a foundation for the study of Western and non-Western cultures. Small classes, an outstanding multidisciplinary faculty, and an excellent location for valuable internship experiences are just some of the program's features.
