Chemistry at Penn State University Park
This program may be started at any campus and is completed only at Penn State University Park.
Students who are strongly intersted in the "whys" and "hows" of science enjoy the Chemistry major, in which a core of chemistry courses is supported by mathematics and physics courses. A large proportion of undergraduates participate in research projects, and many go on to graduate and professional schools after graduation. Others choose immediate employment in research, chemical sales, marketing, and technical services.
The B.S. in Chemistry is offered by Penn State's Eberly College of Science.
Chemistry at Penn State Erie

This major provides a solid background in chemistry and gives students the skills needed for success in industry, professional, or graduate programs in chemistry or related areas. Sufficient flexibility in course selection allows students to tailor a suitable program without sacrificing scientific rigor. Penn State's Behrend College offers a small-college environment, individualized instruction, modern laboratory facilities, and a highly qualified chemistry faculty. Each student in the major has the opportunity to participate in research with a member of the faculty. This major has received American Chemical Society approval.
