This program may be started at any campus and is completed at Penn State University Park.
The Classics major offers a wide, integrated program of instruction in the cultural and intellectual background of Western civilization. It's concerned with the languages, literature, histories, philosophies, and artwork of ancient Greece and Rome. Students follow one of two options: Language, which requires study of Greek, Latin, or both; or Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies, which does not require study of the languages.
The B.A. degree in Classics and Ancient Mediterranean Studies is offered by Penn State's College of the Liberal Arts.
