| Interdisciplinary Digital Studio |

 |
This program is started and completed only at Penn State University Park.
This program prepares students to explore, critically appraise, and further push the boundaries of how emerging technologies are used. The Interdisciplinary Digital Studio (IDS) program is a four-year curriculum organized around a series of interdisciplinary studio classes. Students participate in the College of Arts and Architecture’s art and design core curriculum to obtain grounding in the historical and theoretical context of digital art and design, as well as develop skills in visual communication and creative exploration. IDS studios enable students to immerse themselves in applying arrays of digital tools to problem solving in art and design. As they advance through the program, projects become increasingly student directed, culminating in a yearlong independent capstone project. The program is designed to help graduates prepare for either professional careers or advanced study. The curriculum develops both the creative disciplines and the skills essential to practice and to pursue interests in related fields.
The B.A., B.S., B.Mus., and B.M.A. are offered by Penn State's College of Arts and Architecture.
