This major offers an interdisciplinary program for students who want a basic understanding of the background and contemporary aspects of China, Japan, and Korea. By providing an in-depth examination of the history, cultural heritage, languages, and modern problems of the East Asian peoples, East Asian Studies offers not only a broader understanding of today's world, but a new view of our own society.

The B.A. degree in East Asian Studies is offered by Penn State's College of the Liberal Arts.
