The scope and complexity of the forestry profession continues to grow. Every day foresters contribute to our quality of life through the scientific management of forestland for resources such as wood products, clean air and water, fish and wildlife habitats, recreation, and aesthetic value. This major provides the education necessary for students to pursue professional careers in one of the following four options: Forest Biology, Forest Management, Urban Forestry, and Watershed Management. These options also help students prepare for graduate studies in continuing professional education.
The B.S. in Forest Science is offered by Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences.
