This program may be started at any campus and is completed at Penn State University Park.
Students in this major aim for three main goals: a high level of proficiency in the use of French as a second language; knowledge of the literature and cultures of France and the French-speaking world, from Belgium and Switzerland to Quebec, the Caribbean, and Africa; and development of a career plan centered around French or a combination of French with other courses or majors. Five options are available: Language and Culture, Language and Literature, French Business, Applied, and French Engineering.
The B.S. and B.A. degrees in French and Francophone Studies are offered by Penn State's College of the Liberal Arts.
