The Horticulture major studies the science, technology, and business of producing, improving, and using fruits, vegetables, flowers, and ornamentals. Students in this major can prepare for a career in plant production, plant breeding, plant nutrition, pest management, research, public gardens, sales and marketing, education, communications, horticulture therapy, or zoo horticulture. An opportunity to gain practical work experience through internships and work study programs is available.
The B.S. in Horticulture is offered by Penn State's College of Agricultural Sciences.
