Penn State offers several degree programs in Integrative Arts, each of which is completed at a different location.
Integrative Arts at Penn State University Park
This program may be started at any campus and is completed only at Penn State University Park.
The B.A. in Integrative Arts is a multidisciplinary, theme-oriented, and student-designed major. It consists of 36 credits and must be organized around a coherent theme (an idea, topic, or issue that the student wishes to explore) that cannot be reasonably pursued through an existing program of study. It must include course work from two or more subject areas. Typically, students in Integrative Arts focus their programs of study on vocational, scholarly, or creative interests that exist outside or across the boundaries of existing majors at Penn State. All students must establish an academic plan that contains a minimum of 24 credits organized about their central theme of study. The core component must illustrate that the plan has clarity, purpose, and coherence. The remaining credits in the major may be selected from other arts areas. All students must also complete a minimum of 15 credits of 400-level or equivalent course work within the major.
The B.A. in Integrative Arts is offered by Penn State's College of Arts and Architecture.
