Penn State offers several degrees in marketing, each of which is completed at a different location.

Marketing at Penn State University Park
This program may be started at any campus and is completed only at Penn State University Park.

Marketing is a broad field with one primary purpose: selling a firm's products or services to its customers. Marketing involves research studies that determine consumers' likes and dislikes and how firms should deal with those preferences. Marketing means determining advertising strategies and making advertising arrangements. It also means product development (the design and creation of new goods) and the pricing of new products and services. Marketing professionals must communicate well and enjoy working with people. Employment opportunities, include marketing management, sales management, advertising, marketing research, retailing, and consumer affairs.

The B.S. in Marketing is offered by Penn State's Smeal College of Business.

Marketing at Penn State Erie
This program may be started at any campus and is completed only at Penn State Erie.

This major provides a solid foundation in marketing practice- analyzing and understanding the needs and wants of present and potential customers, designing appropriate product offerings, establishing pricing policies, developing communication strategies, devising efficient distribution strategies, researching marketing data for the above functions, and coordinating marketing programs with other functional areas of business. Because of the tremendous growth in the service sector, the major emphasizes the marketing of services. Typically, graduates are employed in marketing management, sales management, retailing, marketing research, and brand management.

The B.S. in Marketing is offered by Penn State's Behrend College.

Marketing at Penn State Harrisburg
This program may be started at any campus and is completed only at Penn State Harrisburg.

This major is designed for students interested in careers involving sales, promotion, services, distribution, research, and planning for business and the public sector.The major provides students with key concepts and methods of analysis in marketing. It focuses on understanding customer needs, developing products or services, creating and implementing marketing plans, monitoring customer responses, and projecting marketing activities for the future. Each student's background is complemented with basic business instruction in accounting, marketing, information systems, and finance. This instruction enables students to develop the necessary skills to succeed in the field of marketing. This program has received AACSB accreditation.

The B.S. in Marketing is offered by Penn State's Capital College.
