This program may be started at any campus and is completed only at Penn State University Park.
This interdisciplinary major includes required premed courses, health policy and medical ethics courses, and selected upper- level courses from a range of departments. The four-year program is the college's most popular premedical path. However, under the three-year alternative, students can earn a B.S. in Premedicine after only three years at Penn State and one year at an accredited medical or dental school. There is also an early admission option with Penn State's College of Medicine at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Penn State also offers an accelerated six-or seven-year Premedical-Medical major in cooperation with Thomas Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia. The accelerated program is open to outstanding students selected as high school seniors and is started only at University Park.
The B.S. in Premedicine is offered by Penn State's Eberly College of Science.
