This flexible major explores religious outlooks, texts, institutions, and practices, and their relationship to other aspects of culture. The program includes courses in major Eastern and Western religious traditions and uses scholarly techniques to study the human religious condition. Religions themselves, as well as the religious dimensions of culture and society are studied.

The B.A. degree in Religious Studies is offered by Penn State's College of the Liberal Arts.
