Financial Information for International Students

Because Penn State cannot offer financial assistance to undergraduate students from other countries, an international applicant must certify that sufficient resources are available to cover expenses for the first calendar year at Penn State, exclusive of travel expenses. You should also indicate how you will meet your expenses for subsequent years.

Penn State is a complex university with multiple campuses and a wide selection of academic programs. Therefore, tuition and some fees will vary depending on the campus location and major to which you have been admitted . You must calculate your financial requirement using the estimated expenses listed on the Tuition and Fees page (above left) and provide proof that you have access to these funds .The amount for which you are required to provide proof of funds can range from $25,000 to $34,000 depending on location, program and year of study.
