| Because Penn State cannot offer financial assistance to undergraduate students from other countries, an international applicant must certify that sufficient resources are available to cover expenses for the first calendar year at Penn State, exclusive of travel expenses. You must also indicate how you will meet your expenses for subsequent years. The costs shown are estimated costs for the 2005-2006 academic year. Costs typically increase each year. Room and board costs are also available through this Web site.
Tuition and some fees will vary depending on the campus location and major to which you have been admitted. The amount for which you are required to provide proof of funds can range from $25,000 to $34,000 depending on location, program, and year of study.
The actual financial guarantee requirement and estimated costs of attendance are available from the International Students and Scholars office (ISS) at the following Web site: www.international.psu.edu/international_students/
financial_guarantee_req.htm . Or you can contact ISS via e-mail at international@ip.psu.edu or phone (814) 865-2385.
