The Penn State calendar consists of two 15-week semesters and a summer session. New students may begin studies in fall semester which begins in late August, spring semester which begins in early January, or at University Park, the summer session which begins in June. Admissions applications and all documents must be received in the Undergraduate Admissions Office by the following dates:

October 1 for spring semester admission

February 1 for summer session or fall semester admission

Note: The Architecture and Landscape Architecture programs begin only in the fall semester. Completed applications and all documents submitted for admission consideration to these programs must be received no later than November 30 prior to the fall semester in which you would like to begin your studies.

Complete applications received after the recommended filing dates will be considered on a space-available basis.
