Course
Policies
Late
Policy
In general,
assignments are due on the date in which they
appear on the syllabus. Assignments submitted
electronically (T, W or C) are due by
midnight. Discussion section assignments
(D) are begun in your discussion section, and
your TA will give you instructions for handing
them in. Late W, C or D assignments will receive
0 credit. Late Team assignments or
comprehensive essays will lose one point for each
day late. Do not wait until the last minute
to complete an assignment, since technology
failure is not an acceptable excuse for
lateness. Contact Lynne O'Hara immediately
if you are having problems.
Academic
Integrity
You are expected
to maintain University policies on Academic Integrity. All work that you turn
in should be yours. (An exception to this is the team assignments.) Where the work of
others is used, proper credit should be given.
Failure to do so is grounds for automatic failure
of the assignment and whatever other disciplinary
action the University feels necessary and
appropriate.
Special
Needs
Any student in
this course who has a disability that may prevent
him or her from fully demonstrating his or her
abilities should contact me personally as soon as
possible, so we can discuss accommocations
necessary to ensure full participation and
facilitate your educational opportunity. I will
make every effort to accommodate students with
special needs, provided that these students
provide written documentation of their needs as
soon as possible.
