The Diversity Educators Network (DEN)
Hello and welcome to the Diversity Educators Network DEN. The DEN is a new initiative established by the Affirmative Action Office at Penn State University. The DEN will serve as a network for diversity advocates and educators in the Penn State community to share best practices and resources and to provide support for one another. This network will also act as a resource for the greater community to be able to call upon experts in a specific functional area to provide workshops and trainings.
The DEN has members who are experienced diversity and inclusion practitioners and educator, as well as individuals seeking training and an opportunity to enhance their skills in order to become diversity educators.
The time commitment is minimal overall. Our office will provide an annual meeting that all DEN members are expected to attend. We will also offer training throughout the year for those interested in becoming a diversity educator or enhancing their skills. The Train the Trainer program will be announced at a later date. You may receive a request to provide a training or workshop. Accepting the opportunity will depend upon your availability. Please check back here for further information regarding Train the Trainer certification.
Please complete the DEN membership form. The information you provide will be used to help us support DEN members and inform the Penn State community of resources available to them. Please have your bio and picture ready for submission.
For more information about The DEN or for information on becoming a member, please contact Annie Holmes via email email@example.com or by phone, 814-863-0471.
