Penn State Campuses

Penn State is a multi-campus system that is geographically dispersed throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This system allows the University to offer many exciting academic programs to students, no matter where they may live.

The typical path for about 60% of new students is to take advantage of the 2+2 Option. Students begin their Penn State career at one of our campuses across the state, and then make an automatic transition to University Park to complete the junior and senior years. 2+2 offers a unique opportunity for students to choose the best fit from among 20 campuses.. All campuses offer the first two years of almost all academic majors.
