Standardized Test Scores

We require either SAT or ACT scores. Our evaluation uses the highest combined score from a single test date.

Penn State currently uses the Critical Reading and Math sections of the SAT. The Writing section of the exam will be used for evaluation of students applying in the fall of 2008 for admission in the fall of 2009. The next two years will be used to determine how this section will be used in application evaluation.

SAT/ACT Scores: If they have not already done so, students should have SAT or ACT test scores sent directly to Undergraduate Admissions from the appropriate testing agency (SAT code # 2660 or ACT code # 3656). Students can request their scores be sent by going to www.collegeboard.com. We no longer take scores from the high school transcript.

We do not require SAT II scores.
