Ken Weiss' article "Gray's Anatomy: an effort to simplify shows how complex life really is.  How does it get that way?" is featured as the cover story in the February issue of Evolutionary Anthropology.
Karl Zimmerer, Professor and Head of Geography (PSU) will be presenting "Adaptation and Use of Food Plant Biodiversity at Multiple Scales: Finding Keys to Conservation and Sustainability" at the Department of Anthropology colloquium this Friday, February 19.  The colloquium will begin at 3:30 p.m. in 107 Carpenter Building.

Research Assisant "Neus" Martinez-Albadias abstract concerning her findings of craniofacial morphology in Apert syndrome mice has been chosen to be the kick-off presentation at the Gordon-Kenan Research Seminar on Craniofacial Morphogenesis & Tissue Regeneration to be held in Lucca, Italy in April. This conference represents a a new and  unique forum for graduate students, post-docs, and other scientists with comparable levels of experience and education to present and exchange new data and cutting edge ideas. 
   

 
Russell Graham from Geosciences (PSU) will be presenting at the Department of Anthropology colloquium today Friday, February 12.  His talk is titled "Late Pleistocene Extinctions: the search for environmental causes."  The colloquium will begin at 3:30 p.m. in 107 Carpenter Building.

Anthropology lecturer and graduate alumnus Erick Rochette (introduced by Ken Hirth) will be presenting "Jade in Full: Prehispanic Domestic Production of Wealth Goods in the Middle Motagua Valley, Guatemala" at the Department of Anthropology colloquium this Friday, February 5.  The colloquium will begin at 3:30 p.m. in 107 Carpenter Building.
