E-Tutoring

Welcome to e-Tutoring

We’re glad you’re interested in discussing your writing through this on-line forum, which dynamically combines technology and tutoring.

Before you begin to set up an on-line tutoring session, it’s important that we find common ground so you know what to expect from your tutoring session and your tutor.

Our philosophy here at the Undergraduate Writing Center is that we can help you become a stronger, more confident writer by working with you on your writing. What this means is that our tutorials are set up as conversations between writer and tutor rather than as proofreading sessions where a tutor simply “fixes” your mistakes. So come to your on-line tutorial prepared to discuss what you think is strong about your writing, which areas need more work, and how you think your tutor can best help you reach your goals.

We think our conversational approach will help you become an independent writer who is able to critique and revise your own work. If this sounds like one of your goals, let’s get started!
