Undergraduate Writing Center

The Pennsylvania State University's Undergraduate Writing Center on the University Park campus is a program of the Center for Excellence in Writing that offers assistance to students who request help with their writing. The Writing Center's various resources include peer tutors who discuss writing with students on campus during drop-in hours or by appointment; peer tutors who conduct writing workshops in classrooms; peer tutors who are linked to certain classes; specialists in writing personal statements for fellowship, job, and graduate school (especially law school) applications; graduate teaching assistants and lecturers who conduct English 005 one-credit tutorials; electronic tutoring for University Park writers at a distance; a Writing Circle for creative writers; and open mic nights for all writers.

The CEW's Undergraduate Writing Center works in close collaboration with the University Learning Centers.
