Workshop Visits

At the request of instructors, peer tutors will visit classrooms to conduct workshops that are tailored to the writing assignments in the course.  During an extended class visit, several tutors might spend the entire period assisting students with their writing.  This can be a straight question-and-answer session, it can take the form of an interactive workshop in which tutors lead the class in an activity, or it can be little workshops in which the tutors join small groups of writers to help them discuss one another's work.

The workshops can deal with topics such as peer reviewing, creative writing, sentence style, writing a basic academic paper, and writing personal statements for fellowship or graduate school applications.  The tutors work with the instructor to ensure that the workshop meets the needs of the class.

Interested instructors may use this form to request that a tutor conduct a workshop in their class, and a tutor will be in contact soon. Thank you for your interest!
