When the ethnicity/race values were modified recently there was much confusion not only for students filling out the application, but also for staff analyzing the results. There was even confusion among the staff who were stewards of the data. Are there any universities that are not members of the Common Application using more than two values for gender identification? If yes, how did it go. Lastly, is there a PDF copy of Penn State's application online?
Is anyone collecting gender data in their offices? What values are you using?
We actually do use gender on our assessment forms for office programming and we have more than two categories: Woman, Man, Transgender, Self-Identify: _______.
we also use 'sex' and have Female, Male, Intersex and Self-Identify: ____________
Not sure if there is a PDF copy of the PSU applicaiotn on line but I bet there is.
