Mentoring Program (Mentors seeking students click here.)

Attention students, the mentoring program was developed to help you with your personal and professional career goals.

The College of Communications and its Alumni Society coordinate an award-winning alumni/student mentoring program. This program features an annual fall session on the University Park campus and several regional mentoring events each summer and fall. In-person meetings of alumni and students hold the key to the program's success.

For 2008, the mentoring program plans stops at Hearst Tower, New York City (June 18), Sony Pictures, Los Angeles (July 16), and the Nittany Lion Inn, University Park (Oct. 10).

Each session typically begins with heavy appetizers or a light dinner. The session then includes roundtables of six to eight people, both students and alumni, divided by major, field of interest and alumni expertise. Those roundtables are followed by a breakout of alumni and students into one-on-one pairs for individual mentoring.
