AOPE CONTEST
 
For the past decade, the AOPE has been recognizing outstanding examples of op-ed writing, editing and page design across North America.

The six categories are:
Best Op-Ed Page -- Best overall page
Best Theme Page -- A page or pages devoted to a single topic.
Best Series -- A collection of articles stretching over days, weeks or months. Could be special project.
Best Overall Section -- Any size section that reflects your remarkable work.
Best Op-Ed Feature -- The Best Single Article -- Can be traditional op-ed, or Q&A, or photo-essay or some single feature with a well-communicated message.
The Tom Wellman Award for Community Service -- An op-ed project that best reflects its community. Honors Tom Wellman, former AOPE president and an editor well known for his dedication to his community.


General rules:
--Eligible media may enter 2 entries per category. Work published from Aug. 1, past year, to Aug. 1, current year, is eligible.
--Editors must send three copies of each entry. Originals or photocopies are fine.
--No contest format necessary; please label each entry with media name, date, editor, title of entry
