Penn State Blue Course

Since 1994, friends of the College of Communications have gathered on a State College golf course once a year for a bit of friendly competition. After a great day of golf, participants enjoy a reception and awards ceremony.

The honorary chariman for this year's tournament is Steve Jones, the voice of Penn State football and basketball.

Whether you choose to sponsor golfers or play in the Golf Classic yourself, you will be helping to build the Communications Alumni Society Neal J. Friedman Internship Fund. Through the years proceeds from the tournament have added more than $300,000 to scholarship and internship funds. Internship awards are given to students with proven financial need and are valuable tools for the recognition and encouragement of academic excellence.

Participants get lunch, a round of golf and dinner as well as the opportunity to compete for skill prizes and earn numerous door prizes.
