Keith K.
Burkhart, M.D., is a Professor of Medicine and Pharmacology for the College
of Medicine at the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Burkhart
earned his medical degree from The Medical College of Pennsylvania and
completed his residency at the University of Cincinnati where he specialized
in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Burkhart served as a fellow at the University
of Colorado’s Rocky Mountain Drug and Poison Information Center, where
he specialized in Medical Toxicology.
Dr. Burkhart is board certified
in Emergency Medicine with Special Qualifications in Medical Toxicology.
He currently serves as the Medical Director for the Pennsylvania Poison
Center, and is Chair of the Hershey Medical Center Pharmacy and Therapeutics
Committee. In addition he serves as a member of the Drug Utilization
Board of the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare.
