Whether you are using the email client built into your web browser, or a
standalone email package, you can subscribe or unsubscribe via the following two
addresses. In most instances, you should be able to click on these
addresses to initiate an email message to perform the subscribe or unsubscribe
request. If you are unable to do that, you can cut-and-paste the address
into the To: area using your email client. In both instances, you will be
sending an email to the appropriate address. There is no subject
specified, nor is there any text contained in the body of the email.
Note: These commands are being interpreted by a computer. There is no
human intervention.
Note: Please disable your signature function before sending any messages to
Listserv. They will not be interpreted properly.
To subscribe use: FINAID-L-Subscribe-Request@lists.psu.edu
Example:
To: FINAID-L-Subscribe-Request@lists.psu.edu
From: Firstname Lastname <You@YourSchool.edu>
Subject: (none)
The Listserv software will respond with a confirmation
request. Simply use your email reply function to reply, placing an
OK (no quotes) on the first line of your reply. Do not include the body of
text from the original message. The OK should be the only text.
Example:
To: Listserv@lists.psu.edu
From: Firstname Lastname <You@YourSchool.edu>
Subject: (none)
OK
To unsubscribe use: FINAID-L-Unsubscribe-Request@lists.psu.edu
Example:
To: FINAID-L-Unsubscribe-Request@lists.psu.edu
From: Firstname Lastname <You@YourSchool.edu>
Subject: (none)
In this instance, you will receive a confirmation of your unsubscribe
request. However, there is no request for you to confirm your
intentions.
Note: If your email address has changed since you first subscribed,
Listserv will be unable to process your unsubscribe request since it will not
recognize you. In this instance, you will need to request assistance
from the listowners at
FINAID-L-Request@lists.psu.edu
