Hi. I've run into a minor problem in using your HTML access counter. I've installed Perl; I've set things up for server-side includes; I've chmod'ed counter to be executable. But when I type "counter," the answer I get is "counter: Command not found." (This is in the correct directory, naturally.) In order to get the program to run, I have to type "perl counter." But this makes running the program properly from an html page impossible. Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? I suspect it's some tiny but vital gap in my UNIX knowledge... This is on a Sun SparcStation 2 running SunOS 4.1.3, BTW. Incidentally, your counter will see extensive use in the WWW server being set up for the Penn State Data Center, used by businesses and governments all over Pennsylvania... assuming I can get it working, that is! :-) -Mark Sachs Co-Webmaster, Penn State Harrisburg
