CAC Web Space Options

The Center for Academic Computing (CAC) offers World Wide Web server space for all Penn State students, faculty, staff, colleges, and departments. An Access Account is required (see http://cac.psu.edu/accounts/access.html). Web space application and duration are subject to the CAC policies Web Services (http://cac.psu.edu/policies/webpolicy.html) and Access Account Qualifications (http://cac.psu.edu/policies/aaq.html).

Individuals: Individual students, faculty, and staff can apply for personal Web space by completing the form at http://www.psu.edu/webspace/. Personal Web pages are located at http://www.personal.psu.edu/.

Course Web Space: Faculty can apply for Web space for course development and instruction. The Course On-line Account (COLA) (see http://cac.psu.edu/accounts/cola.html) and Student On-line Development Account (SODA) (see http://cac.psu.edu/accounts/soda.html) provide faculty and their students with Web space for course development and presentation. For more information, see CAC Account Services. Course Web space is located at http://www.courses.psu.edu/.

Colleges, Departments, and Other Official Units: Colleges, departments, or other official units can purchase Web space through a P-account. For information on costs and application procedures, see Departmental Web and Disk Space (http://cac.psu.edu/accounts/dept.html). Departmental Web space is located at http://www.psu.edu/dept/.

Student Organizations: Penn State student organizations can apply for Web space on the Student Activity Server located at http://www.clubs.psu.edu/.
