The next meeting of the Penn State SAS Users Group will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2004 in the IST Cybertorium (113 IST Bldg) from 2:30 - 5:00 pm. If you haven't had a chance to visit the new IST facility yet, here's a great opportunity to see it and learn a little SAS too.

Our agenda features the presentation "Qualitative Data Mining with SAS Text Miner" by Sue Cross and Andy Wiesner of the Schreyer Institute. Sue and Andy will show how they are using SAS Text Miner to discover patterns in the scads of text hidden in open-ended responses to surveys, interviews, documents and databases. Text mining can be used to develop hypotheses, uncover trends and identify themes in your text data.

For additional agenda items or to be added to our mailing list see our website http://www.pop.psu.edu/help/cacpri/psusug/.

There will be plenty of seating, so there is no need to pre-register for this meeting. Pass the word to your colleagues, all are welcome.
