The Center for Academic Computing (CAC) invites you to take advantage of the free workshops designed for faculty, staff, and teaching assistants offered through Summer-Fest 1998. Whether you are just beginning to use technology or you are a more experienced user looking to learn something new, the Summer-Fest workshops have something to offer.
Most workshops are hands-on while some will be informational sessions. Although workshops are skills-based, some are focused specifically on integrating technology in the classroom.
The workshops will be held during the following weeks:
The seminars are designed so that you can attend an
introductory course such as "Introduction to
the World Wide Web" at the beginning of the week. Then, you can apply
the materials and skills developed in this course to a new context like
"Strategic Use of the Internet in the Penn State Classroom" later in the
week. You are also welcome to attend all three weeks and choose
courses intermittently throughout the summer.
To register, please go to the CAC's training page at: http://cac.psu.edu/training/ on the Web and click on the "Summer Break" link, then click on the "Registration" link. Confirmation will be sent to you by e-mail. You may also register by phone by calling the seminar hotline at (814) 863-9522. Please note that for all Summer-Fest sessions, seating is limited. Prompt registration via the World Wide Web will improve your chance of attending the sessions of your choice.
Please contact Cari Howlin at cxh25@psu.edu or at (814) 863-5769 with any questions related to the Summer-Fest workshops.
