Information Technology Services provides a variety of publications in print and electronic formats. Note that any Acrobat PDF versions mentioned below require the free software Adobe Acrobat Reader. Requests for printed documents may be sent to docreq@psu.edu.

  • ITS Academic Computing Newsletter
    This newsletter is published by ITS and distributed in fall, spring and summer to keep students, faculty and staff up-to-date on current issues involving computing. A printed version is distributed to all faculty and staff. Copies are also available at ITS Help Desks and most ITS computer labs. Web and PDF versions are also available on the ITS news Web Site

    TechNews, a service of the Information Technology Services, is a frequently updated source of news about the state of IT at Penn State. Current and past stories are available at this site.

  • ITS Computer Labs and Classrooms
    Information about ITS computer labs and technology classrooms is provided on the Web. Also available is a printed version containing a campus map, locations, equipment, hours, and contact information.

  • Computing Times for New Faculty

    Valuable on-line information pertaining to copyright and intellectual property affecting the academic community. The publication contains guidelines for use of digital media, a list of frequently asked questions and answers, and contact information.

  • Frequently Asked Questions about ITS Web Services
    This site contains a very thorough list of common questions regarding Web space made available to faculty, staff and students at Penn State, from "Where is my page located on the Web?" to "How do I run a script?"

  • Your Guide to Information Technology Services at Penn State
    Your Guide to Information Technology Services at Penn State is now available at ITS Help Desks in 2 Willard Building and 215 Computer Building at University Park. Copies are mailed annually to faculty at all locations and to staff at University Park. If you need a copy, stop by the above locations, call 814-865-4757, or send a request to docreq@psu.edu. The guide is also on the Web at http://css.its.psu.edu/internet/.

  • Training
    ITS provides a large number of seminars on varied computing topics for faculty, staff and students. Printed information is distributed throughout the year and is also available on the Web.

  • Web Publishing Guide
    This guide contains the essential information for the aspiring Web designer: Web basics, University Web policies, helpful hints and design resources.
