Penn State Personal Web Page Templates

Make your own Web page the easy way

You don't have to be an expert in HTML to create a personal Web page. You can build your own page by personalizing one of the attractive, easy-to-read Web page templates provided on this site by Information Technology Services.

This site allows you to select one of the nine templates available, fill in the form, and save the page you create to your computer.

Make changes to your Web page

Once you've created your Web page, you can keep it current by using the web page editor of your choice. Web browsers, such as Netscape, Internet explorer, and Mozilla, include a free Web editor component. These three browsers are available from our PAC-ITS CD and from the PAC-ITS web site. You can start editing your web pages with one of these. You can also buy a web editor with the functionality you are looking for.

This site provides you with instructions on how to use Netscape Composer and how to use it to make your changes.

Upload your Web page

Use your preferred method to upload your Web page to your Web space. Make sure to upload any graphic files that you added to your Web page to the same directory that holds your Web page.

For instructions on transferring these files to your Web space, see question 2.4 of our Web Frequently Asked Questions.
