Continuing
left on up the trail we hike past several large white ashes and American
beeches. The soil becomes drier as we ascend the slope and the ferns and other
under-story plants begin to thin out. Up a relatively steep trail section past a
large white ash tree we re-join the first loop of the trail and continue to the
right back toward the stream to rejoin the rest
of the Nature Trail loop.
