Consult-a-Curator Day

Saturday, March 29
Do you have a treasured work of art you'd like to know more about? Join us for Consult-a-Curator Day, Saturday, March 29, 2008, 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., at the Holiday Inn Express at Williamsburg Square. Museum staff members will talk with you about your work and also make recommendations about its care and preservation. Our curators, preparator, and registrar will examine paintings, prints, photographs, and other works on paper (limit two items per person). We will not be able to provide information on antiques, decorative arts, or collectibles, nor can we provide appraisals of financial value.

Consult-a-Curator Day is a benefit of museum membership. Registration is now closed. Please look for this event again in 2009! Cosponsored by the Friends of the Palmer Museum of Art and Shaner Hotel Group.

Workshop participants will view the exhibition, discuss personally meaningful iconography, and explore the possibilities of the pastel medium. There is no charge for this workshop, but participants must attend both sessions and bring their own supplies as designated by the instructor.
