The John Egli Outstanding Student-Athlete Award was established in honor of Assistant Professor John Egli, in recognition of his long dedication and devotion to the Pennsylvania State University, where he served as student, athlete, faculty member, and coach. Particularly noteworthy and significant was his service and contributions as the first Commonwealth Campus Coordinator of Athletics. The award is presented annually to the outstanding male and female scholar athletes of the PSUAC. The PSUAC Egli Scholar Athletes were chosen from a group of over 1.300 student athletes who participated in one or more of the 10 varsity sports offered at the 14 locations.

The Robert J. Scannell Award is presented to an administrator, faculty, staff member or coach who has served the PSUAC with distinction. Dr. Scannell, former Vice President and Dean of the Commonwealth Education System was largely responsible for the establishment of the athletic and recreation programs at campuses.
