DOUG'S TIP OF THE MONTH
Are you consistently missing your serves into the net? Try reaching for the sky and keeping your head up until you have hit the ball.
DOUG'S CORNER
I am excited to get things started at the Tennis Center this summer and fall. After my stint with the Men's Team, I am ready to tackle the job of Head Professional at the Penn State Tennis Center. I am very happy to be in this position, and am ready to get new and exciting programming going. In this newsletter, you will find some information on a new ladies league, and two new clinic/round robin groups for men and women. Our Junior Development began in early June and is going well with many new juniors taking lessons. We still have open space for more juniors to join the program. Our second session begins July 10, 2000. We will have Tiny Tots, Beginner, and Intermediate classes. Our Advanced Camp is for those players looking for an intensive and fun atmosphere to improve their tennis game. Please see the enclosed information about Junior Development. I am available for private lessons, group lessons, and semi-privates. Please feel free to talk with me about any and all programming needs you feel appropriate for the Tennis Center membership. Eric and I have been meeting daily trying to get new programming ready for the membership this summer and for the future. I think I know most of the membership, but if I have not met you yet, please stop by and introduce yourself to me.
