Enclosed in last month's newsletter was a copy of the revised bylaws for your review. No corrections or changes were submitted as of July 1, so the committee has assumed that everyone is happy with the bylaws as they are presently written. The next step in this process is to have the membership ratify the bylaws. Again, if these bylaws meet your approval and you want them to be ratified as the official bylaws of the Penn State Tennis Center, you need not do anything. If you have any concerns, corrections, or additions to the bylaws, you must submit them to the Pro Shop no later than August 1, 2000, at which time they will be reviewed by the Executive Committee. If we do not receive any concerns, corrections, or additions by the above deadline, the bylaws will be ratified as the official bylaws of the Tennis Center.

Just a reminder, the Executive Committe's monthly meeting is held the thir Monday of each month at the Tennis Center at 5:30 PM. All members are invited to attend and give their input. Once the minutes of the meeting are approved, they are posted on the bulletin board for your review.

We will be hosting a welcome reception for Doug Schoenly on Thursday, July 20, 2000 at 7:30 PM directly after Team Tennis. Please plan to attend to give Doug a warm welcome from the Tennis Center membership. Food and beverages will be served.

Gert Aron will be writing a history on the Penn State Tennis Center. Any information you may have on the Tennis Center, please give Gert a call. Thanks Gert!!!

Mark your calendar now for the Penn State Tennis Center's annual meeting. It will be held February 2, 2001. There will be free indoor play from 6:00-7:00 PM, followed by the annual meeting from 7:00-8:00 PM, concluding with a potluck dinner. Please plan to attend.
