WOMEN'S SUMMER FLEX LEAGUE The First Annual Women's Summer Flex League is over. We had a very good turn out of participants for the summer league. Due to a lot of traveling, not as many matches were played as I would have like. This was the first time a flex league was run, and I was happy with the results. In order for the league to run better, I would ask all participants to try and complete as many or all matches that are schedule to play. Following are the results of the two leagues: Blue
Division: White
Division: Congratulations to all those that played in the First Annual Women's Summer Flex League and congratulations to the top three finishers in both divisions. WINTER FLEX LEAGUE FOR BOTH MEN AND WOMEN During the upcoming Indoor season, Eric and I are planning on running a flex league for both the men and women. It will be run the exact same way as the summer flex league, but indoors from the beginning of November to the end of December excluding the Holidays. Each participant in the league will call their opponent early in the week and set up a time to play the match. Both players will bring a can of new balls to the match, and the winner will take the new can, while the loser will get the old balls. Matches will be the best two out of three sets with the third set being a tiebreaker. We will have set times for reduced indoor court rates for the league matches. Please see the flyer in the newsletter for more information or call Doug in the Pro Shop at 865-1381. Our first Junior Development session of the fall season is almost over. I am pleased with the turn out for the clinic so far, but there is always room for improvement. Eric and I are still putting together our winter schedule for November and December. Our next session for October is set. We will be running clinics for Beginners, Intermediates, Advance Intermediates, and the Advance Camp. These clinics will be on Mondays and Wednesdays.
