| LETTER FROM THE SUPERVISOR | ||||||||||||||
Dear Members, Summer is winding down, classes have begun at the University and our kids have returned to school. Team Tennis has finished, and although we had some weather challenges, it was a success. There was plenty of good tennis and great food for all. I would like to thank your captains for putting in the time to organize the teams each Thursday night so Team Tennis would go off without a hitch. Dot Colton, Jo Gould, John Caffrey and Bob Ortiz, thanks again for a job well done. The Ladies Flex League is winding down with the final matches being played at th etime of this writing. The final standings will be posted in next month's newsletter. Speaking of flex leagues, Doug and I will be putting together another Ladies Flex League as well as a Men's Flex League to be played during the indoor season. All of this information will be in next month's newsletter. October's newsletter is very important, as it will contain all of the information on the upcoming indoor season. At the time of writing this newsletter, the renovations on the clay courts are underway. Please be patient during this period of time. Keep in mind that the back courts and Sarni courts will be available during the renovation project. The PSTC now proudly accepts VISA/Mastercard and Discover card. You can now pay for your membership renewals, tennis lessons, racket stringing, and that new racket you have been waiting to buy with your credit card. Cash and checks are still accepted. The final leg of the PSU Grand Prix is scheduled for October 13-15. This is the last outdoor event of the year, so please sign up and join the fun. Remember, your entry fee includes at least two matches, a T-shirt, and lunch. Included in this month's newsletter is our Junior Development Program information for September and October. Sign your young ones up now. Finally, if you are a sub for the Ladies Morning League and you agree to fill in for someone, please make every effort to show up. If you can't make it, please call the Pro Shop and let us know so we can pass it on. Sincerely, Eric
