| Eric Dove, Supervisor | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Eric comes to us from Florida where he was Director of Tennis and Recreation at Grenelefe Golf and Tennis Resort located in Central Florida. Before that he was Director of Tennis and Golf Operations Superintendant for the City of Winter Haven for ten years. Eric played college tennis at Florida Southern College, located in Lakeland, FL and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Administration. Eric's responsibilities as Tennis Center Supervisor includes overseeing the daily operation of the Tennis Center, programming and special events. | Doug Schoenly, Tennis Pro | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
|
Doug is currently in his first year as the Head Tennis Professional at the Penn State Tennis Center. Before coming to the Tennis Center, Doug was the Assistant Men's Tennis Coach at Penn State from 1996-2000. He was a part of every aspect of the tennis program: recruiting, practices, running tournaments, and any additional needs of the program. While the Assistant Coach at Penn State, Dough taught tennis at the Penn State Tennis Center, Toftrees, and at the Butterfield Park District in Chicago during the summers. During Doug's collegiate career at Penn State, he played number 1, 2, and 3 doubles as well as competed at the number 5 and 6 singles positions. Doug graduated in May of 1996 with a degree in Marketing from Penn State. Curently Doug is working on his graduate degree in couselor education with emphasis on college student personnel. Doug was a high school first team all state doubles player his senior year at Glenbard High School in his hometown of Glen Ellyn, IL. |

| Jim joined the PSUTC staff in 1998. Jim is responsible for most of the racquet stringing and is a member of the USRSA. Along with his responsibilities working in the pro shop, he is heavily involved in the maintenance of the clay courts. Jim is currently going through training to become a tennis instructor with his long-term goal to be a USPTA certified tennis professional. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Tami McLaughlin | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Tami C.F. McLaughlin has been with the Tennis Center since 1995, with a year absence. She is seeking a bachelor's degree in Counselor Education and Rehabilitation Services, and will be graduating in the Spring of 2000. Tami's duties include creating the monthly newletter for the center, assisting with court maintenance, contributing to the annual fund raising event and execute financial documents and transactions. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Megan Rayman | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Megan Rayman is a senior at Penn State pursuing a degree in kinesiology. she was a member of the State College Area High School tennis team from 1992-1996. Megan began stringing raquets in 1995 when she started working at the Penn State Tennis Center. In 1998, she began working for the Penn State Women's tennis team as the team stringer. Since 199, Megan has also been involved with teaching lessons and clinics at the Tennis Center. Outside of tennis, Megan volunteers actively with Alpha Community Ambulance Service Inc. as an Emergency Medical Technician. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Mark Thompson | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Mark joined the staff in 1994 after working seven years at the Penn State Golf Shop. He is very knowledgeable about the athletic services at Penn State. Whether he is working with a customer on the telephone or in the pro shop, doing maintenance on the courts, processing memberships, or handling some financial duties, he does it with care and diligence. Mark is the "go-fer" of the courts. Outside of the Center he does groundskeeper work for a local V.F.W. and enjoys playing golf, bowling, and hanging out at the auto racing tracks. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
