As of July 1, 2004, the ASK system will no longer be available.

Penn State's Course Management System, ANGEL, found at http://cms.psu.edu/, allows instructors to create and deliver surveys online, either anonymous or not. Therefore, ANGEL is replacing ASK as an online class survey system.

You can access documentation describing ANGEL's survey functions by going to http://cms.psu.edu and then clicking the Help option. Under the Basic ANGEL Tools section, click Survey Creation and Reports.

The Flashlight Current Student Inventory (CSI), a series of surveys designed to gather information about the uses of technologies used for learning at your location, is also available through the ANGEL system. A seminar is available for those interested in using the Flashlight CSI. For more information, you can access the seminar handout by clicking on Get Seminar Handouts under the ITS Training Services Seminars section on the the ANGEL Help page. Then scroll down to find the seminar titled Using the Flashlight Surveys to Assess Your Course, which you can review as an HTML page or PDF file.
