 About DUS Alumni

The DUS Alumni Directory

This directory is designed to help current DUS students with their decisions about majors and careers.

DUS alumni in various fields have contributed information about their experiences at Penn State, such as how they went about choosing a major, extracurricular activities that made a difference to them, and what they would have done differently in college. They also describe the jobs they have held since graduation.

Many alumni are willing to be contacted by students interested in their careers or their Penn State experiences; their addresses, phone numbers, and e-mail addresses are provided when available.

The directory information is organized by the alumni's majors and by the occupations that they have pursued.

While reading, please note the following:
  • Some alumni mention that they were in DIR or DOC, two precursors to DUS. DIR, the Division of Intermediate Registration, was active from 1948–1955, and DOC, the Division of Counseling, existed from 1956–1973. DUS, the Division of Undergraduate Studies, was established in 1973.

  • Some of the advisers mentioned may no longer be employed at Penn State. Please check the current Penn State faculty/staff directory for updated information.
Contributions from additional DUS alumni are welcome. Please click on the "For DUS Alumni" link in the menu to fill out the questionnaire for new contributors. This link also provides a form for updating current listings.

We are grateful to the alumni who have provided the information for this directory. We also appreciate the efforts of the DUS Student Council, which initiated the DUS alumni directory project in 1994 because these students wanted to help future students in their decision making.
