Educational Planning Survey: Results

The Educational Planning Survey (EPS) is administered annually to all new, first-year Penn State undergraduates. Each year, the Division of Undergraduate Studies uses the EPS data to generate reports showing the characteristics of entering Penn State students in various subgroups.

The charts displayed on this Web site provide information about new, first-year students admitted to

• the University Park campus only,
• nineteen other undergraduate campuses combined, and
• all twenty Penn State undergraduate campuses combined.

EPS data from 14,792 first-year students admitted in summer and fall 2005, including 6,747 students admitted to the University Park campus and 8,045 students admitted to other campuses, were used to create these charts. Because some students did not answer every question on the EPS, most charts include a "no reply" section to indicate the number of omitted responses.

The 2005 EPS data were compiled on September 19, 2005.
