ADVISING

The basic tasks of the University's academic advising program are to help advisees identify and achieve their academic goals, to promote intellectual discovery, to encourage students to take advantage of both in- and out-of-class educational opportunities, and to become self-directed learners and decision makers.
Advising at Penn State provides an overview of the University's advising system and links to critical advising resources including responsibilities of advisers and advisees.
Advising @ PSU (www.psu.edu/advising/) is a central source for academic advising and academic information. This Web site, which is intended to be a resource for students, faculty, and staff University-wide, provides original material developed specifically for this Web site as well as links to other Web sites with relevant information.
